Yay, it’s another blog from Adam!!!
This one, is all about getting in shape. I’ve decided to take part in Scooby’s 2014

Hopefully this blog will serve as my credibility requirement
(and yes, I intend to follow the rules to the letter).
So let’s talk a little bit about where I’m at… before last night, it had been nearly a year
(June 2013) since last I exercised, or watched my diet. During that time, my routine was pretty much
as follows: Wake up, go to work (behind
a desk), come home veg out, fall asleep. Read: zero exercise. To make matters worse, up until last week, I
was eating horribly… lunch usually
consisted of a bacon cheeseburger, fries and soda… dinners often pizza, weekend breakfast was at
a greasy spoon. Oh, and I’ve been
drinking and smoking (a lot)…. Minimum
of 12-18 bottles of craft beer (7%+ abv) weekly, and at least a half a pack of
cigarettes a day.
The net result, I’ve felt terrible. I get home tired, I’ve got zero energy to do
anything. Recently, I’ve had more than a few friends and family comment that my
weight is out of control. As of my last
weigh in, I was 215lbs @ 26% bodyfat (note this measurement is taken by an
electronic scale, so I’m sure it’s not cannon, but it’s there for reference)…
to put that in prospective, I’m 32 and 5’11”.
Also, I’ve had crazy bad heartburn and acid reflux (that I take Zantac
OTC for).
Long story short my current lifestyle is not sustainable,
and this blog is about changing that.
